    Penang Trip! (2 - 4th Jan 2008)
Heyy guys, i know i have been a bummer especially neglecting the blog and not updating it with interesting stories. Well recently i went to Penang, and here goes~

    Day 1
It was in the afternoon actually when i reached Subang, picked up Terry, Fili, Bronson and Jon. Then we pitt-stop at Ipoh to drop off Fili. Stopped by there at the hawker's foodstall to have a light meal and off we went. Travelled on the highways for 2-3hrs more till we reached Perai. We all knew that we were all very near and all of us eventually got pumped up. Even more pumped up when we saw the Penang Bridge!! but you know what? The bridge was jammed with cars!
Sigh, what can we do then? Not long after that, we reached and lucky Terry "who was farmiliar with the roads" lead us to Gurney and met up with Jocelyn at her house. Picked her up and had a little talk with her dad. Gosh, her dad was awesome!! Very very friendly!! He even offered us a place to stay.
It was late and we were all starving and Jon kept on making a big fuss of Golden Arches, so here is a tribute for you!

    The Golden Archers!

Well, I guess you guy already know where is the next destination we went. Yup, it was Gurney Drive. We ordered a lot of food and kept on complaining because it is so much better and cheaper den in KL!! I ate Assam Laksa with extra fish, sotong bakar, rojak and juice! The juice was definitly worth the squeeze! hehehehe.

Walked by the seaside and took some pictures and then we went to Gurney Mall. The christmas decorations was still there, took some pictures and went shopping! Their malls are actually not to bad, there were much choices and slightly cheaper "I guess". Bought a few stuff and off we went to Batu Feringgi for some night market thingy.

    Night Market!

I tell you all KL peeps, if you had went there u would certainly do the same thing as me! There were a lot of funny funny things sold there and DVD's!! And it only cost like RM4 per copy!! Freaking cheap! I bought a lot and managed to bought some old movies. Actually i still wanted to buy more. But there is always next time~

    Happy HappY!

We all walked into The Shang and head to the beach. It was very dark actually, and i had this eerie feeling especially facing towards the sea. But with all my friends, it was totally opposite of course. Sat down by the bench there and chat for quite sometime. Sharing experience and Jon's ghost story which eventually scared Jocelyn. hahahhaha... that was funny, her expression :)

    Starry starry Night!

    Candid Shot?

    That's better!

Ouch! The sand went into the Camera!

    Hustlers No.1!

Fetched her back to her house and got the car, then she brought us to her dad's apartment somewhere near Penang Bridge. Seriously saying that was way too cool, thou i met her dad once, he already offered to let us stay at the aparment. So when we reached the apartment, at the carpark, someone said "Oh Shit".(the person who said this will only understand it!) LoL :)

Went upstairs and the place was First Class!! Completely furnished like a well to do house, it was fully equiped! There was even Astro and karaoke!!! and not to be missed out the magnificent view of Penang!! and the best thing was, it was just 4 of us living there!!

    Day 2

The next day we woke up early which was around 10am. Picked Jocelyn up and went for a little sightseeing nearby at the Sleeping Buddha and Standing Buddha temples.

Then we had breakfast at a coffee shop.

Then we went to Batu Feringgi again. At first i thought it is going to be very hot and i am going to be dead. It was totally different!! We went for Jet Ski, Para-Sailing and Banana Boat ride!. It was RM110 per person. The funniest part was the bargaining with the dude name "Abu" There was supposed to be a free massage as well, but as soon as he mentioned it will be done by guys we were like "potong stim" and said "No Thx!"

    Flying Lesson's no.1

Me and Bronson, "Just look at him... he'll crash in no time!"

    Lift Off!

    Is Jon Dead?

    He's Moving!

    My turn for gearing up!

We started of with para-sailing. At first, Jocelyn didnt want to go but after much persuasion, she eventually went. Actually i never thought that i would actually get to this. Flying! It has been my dream since young!! Jon went alone first and then Jocelyn with me and Terry with Bronson. The instructions to fly was actually pretty easy, this is what Abu said, :-

    1. When you hear the whistle, you run to the sea as fast as you can as if you're going to die
    2. Just relax up there, feel free to do what you want and most of all enjoy
    3. When you hear the whistle again for landing, you pull the straps to the side and you will land nicely.

    Meanwhile :-

Jon's Landing on Runway zero nine, runway zero nine!

    Flaps 13!

    Wheels Down and Landed!

It's my First Flying Lesson! Actually We! LoL

Here we go, taking off and we landed perfectly of coz! :p

While Terry was preparing for take off, me and Jon took this pic! I kinda like it

    Catch Your Wave!

Looks like he is asking permission for taking off!

    He's cleared!

    But then......

    EMERGENCY LANDING!

Terry crashed on his butt! Ouch!

    He seems okay i guess!

Pretty easy right? Seeing us all flying. When you're up there, the feeling its like, no worries and good. Then we went for banana boat ride and the Jet Ski. It was totally good! I circled 1 small little island infact. :)

Soon, the next agenda was actually quite unexpected. We walked to "The Shang" and disguist ourselves as hotel guess. At first we weere just sitting there, gasping for air. Then Jon met 2 cute chicks in the pool, twins infact and soon we all played water polo together and the name is Tasha and Jazz. After such a tiring game, we all actually act as we were hotel guests and walked towards "The Lift" and made a detour to the entrance. hahahahah.. it was funny.

    Playing Water Polo!

Went back house, showered and rest. Then we went to Queens Bay Mall for shopping again. This is one thing i have never done before again. I bought new clothes on the spot and wear them and off we went for dinner! xD

The place was QE2. The place was kinda cute, there was a little buggee driving us into the restaurant. Just imagine. I would say the design actually looks like the pubs and bistros in Bangsar. Met up with Jocelyn's friends. At first, i thought we were going to have communication error because of the language but it turned out not bad afterall. Jon's ghost story worked again LoL. and we met a guy looked so alike sober and named him p.sober (penang sober) because he has the same name and the same characteristics!

    Upon Arrival!

After dinner, we went for round 2 which was supper. After supper we played pool and soon after that went home for rest. Everyone was dead tired! Especially Jocelyn.

    Day 3 (extended day)

We all actually extended our time in Penang.

Woke up, went to eat white curry laksa which was again first time. Next we drove around and because time was limited we couldnt do much stuff. So we went to youth park somewhere near Komtar and played in the playground. Darn, that was funny. Coz us big buffalos kept on playing the seasaw and swing. Took pictures and walked the reflexology. It was painful but exciting. We made a new friend from Heili from Bridgewood, Melbourne. Brought her to eat green worms(cendol) which freaked her out in the first place. But she enjoyed it afterall :)

    Reflexology @ Youth Park! (Ouch!)

Then we went to Prangin Mall for the last place to shop. Again i bought DVD's. Drove back home got our luggages and was actually feeling sad to leave to place.. All this would not have happened if it was not because of my summer course!

Soon after that, all our phones went ringing. It was all our dad's calling and most of them seems furious wanting to know what time we're going to reach home and stuff. Stopped at Ipoh again for dinner and went back home safe and sound.

Thanks for the accomodation and the fun we had! We'll be back!! :p

    i styled it @ 11:17 PM :))
